For how long we can frighten the world?
What is the national interest of Pakistan? Explore the answer of this question on internet and the most frequent answer you will come across, is “To Promote various terrorist organizations in their very own soil like laskar-e-toiba , jamaat-ul-dawa, Taliban. Terrorism is the foreign policy of Pakistan” (wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_National_Interest_of_Pakistan). There may be scores of books and articles written on this subject matter, representing positive and encouraging image of Pakistan but those books or articles will not be included in the first twenty search items. Today internet is a cheap source of data collection for research. Just like electronic media, what ever comes in front of people in the first attempt on internet, they are captivated by that information. Ordinary people can’t assess the partiality or impartiality of these news stories. They just compare this data with their own limited information, mostly acquired from the same biased media. So no matter what the media is feeding to the people, it is by and large digested as it is.
Often we Pakistanis are doubtful about the policy of the government or simply today what the government wants to portray, is not in accordance with the wishes of the people. For example for thirty years we represented these terrorist organizations as a symbol of Islamic Revolution and savior of our national goals. Now in presence of their same leadership and same course of action, how these people became terrorists? First their enemy was Russia and now America. It is also a dilemma that in sixty two years our intelligentsia never bothered to portray America as a friend. Here in Pakistan, China is considered a time tested and all weathered friend. Americans should also think about this mind set that what are the reasons of positive image of China in Pakistani mind set. In our academic books non Muslims especially Hindus are depicted as idol worshipers like Quresh of Mecca. Now in this scenario Mujahideen fits well as our well-wishers and America as an evil spirit. Secondly now our government and even international media have declared that Bait Ullah Massod is dead. But people are still doubtful about his death. Surprisingly they believe in the same media when it says that Usama is alive. The reason is that they hope to see these leading actors alive, pronouncing Jihad against America.
Pakistan as nation state never set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Reachable and Tangible) goals. The national interest is a countries goals and ambitions whether ecomonic , military, or cultural. The concept is an important one in international relations where pursuit of the national interest is the basis of the pragmatism. The national interest of a state is multi faceted. Primary is the state’s survival and security. Also important is the pursuit of wealth and economic growth and power. Many states, especially in modern times, regard the preservation of the nation’s culture as of great importance. Today, the concept of “the national interest” is often associated with political Realists who wish to differentiate their policies from “idealistic” policies that seek either to inject morality into foreign policy or promote solutions that rely on multilateral institutions which might weaken the independence of the state. Before discussing the national interest of Pakistan, if focus on the question that what we have and how to get what we want? If we look at our neighbor India, she depicts herself as a big democracy and large market. And in this way she convinces the world to come and see the prospects in India. What we present to the world? War on terror. We make an effort to convince the world that if we fail against terrorism so the human race will have to face the consequences. Do we have any thing else to exert a pull on foreign investment instead of funds and loans?
At this critical moment we can’t bring to light new horizons and perspectives for foreign investment but if we try than we can workout potential future policy throughout this period of tender democracy. We will have to transform our mind sets. Some of our day dreaming scholars are of the opinion that we have atomic bomb, strong army and scholars inside and outside the country etc etc. But they don’t refer to the running expenditure of these minarets of hope. Are we capable to maintain these institutions? The answer is no. we all are waiting for foreign financial support to accomplish these ventures.
It is not possible the all at once some one can change the scenario. But if planed the way as it should be so a new start is possible. But this time our sole efforts should concentrate on economic development. War on terror is a quick-fix project. Soon it could be pack up in the near future so we must have some thing else to be a magnet for foreign investment. Now we must take bold step to put Pakistan on the path of economic development. For how long we can frighten the world to help us?

Nepal, the Most Beautiful Country in the World

Nepal has seen many rulers and ruling dynasties. The earliest rulers were the Kirantis who ruled from 9th century B.C. to 1st century A.D. Legends and chronicles mention that the Indian Emperor Ashoka had come to Nepal and visited Lumbini, the place where the Buddha was born, and where he erected a huge stone pillar to commemorate his visit to that spot.
The Kirants were replaced by Licchavis who, according to the earliest evidences in inscriptions of the 5th century A.D. found in the courtyard of Changunarayan temple which is about 15 km north east of Kathmandu, ruled this country from 1st century to 9th century A.D. This period is noted for the many temples and fine sculptures built around the Kathmandu valley.
The Licchavis were followed by the Thakuris, then came the Malla dynasty. The Mallas ruled focusing mainly on the Kathmandu Valley which has been the residence for most Nepali rulers from time immemorial. No other part of Nepal is as rich in cultural heritage as Kathmandu. Thanks to the exceptionally talented crafts-men, who dedicated themselves to construct the many temples and statues, we have seven world heritage sites in the Kathmandu Valley itself.
In the 14th century A.D. King Jayasthiti Malla established a rigid social order. His grandson tried in every way to protect his country from suspected enemy states. Unfortunately, all his efforts were fruitless, everything went beyond his control and the country eventually divided up into 50 small feudal states including the three major ones in the valley.
Then came the Shah dynasty. King Prithvi Narayan Shah who annexed small principalities including three states in the Kathmandy Valley and unified Nepal in a single kingdom. Recognizing the threat of the British Raj in India, he dismissed European missionaries from the country and for more than a century, Nepal remained in isolation. During the mid-19th century Jung Bahadur Rana became Nepal’s first prime minister to wield absolute power. The Ranas were overthrown in a democracy movement of the early 1950s.
Nepal was declared a Federal Democratic Republic state on May 28, 2008, during the first meeting of the Constituent Assembly. It was previously a multiparty democracy since 1990.
Siddhartha Gautam, the prince was born in the Kingdom in Nepal who later found the enlightenment in India and came to be known as Gautam Buddha. Beautiful Buddhist monasteries and stupas over the relics have become an inseparable part of Nepalese & Indian art, culture and architecture. Nalanda was once a world center for Buddhism and its philosophy until it disappeared suddenly in 13th century except for the small kingdoms in the hilly tracts. Early 20th century saw re-emergence of Buddhism and even today some of the famous pilgrimage sites in India & Nepal related to Buddhism attract large number of devotees and visitors every year. Most of them are situated around the River Ganges. The significant sites to be visited as great Buddhist centres are Lumbini, Bodhgaya, Sarnath, Shravasti, Kushinara Sankashaya, Nalanda, Rajgir, Sanchi stupa and other cave temples as in Ajanta and Ellora.
Draped along the greatest heights of the Himalaya, Nepal is where the ice-cold of the mountains meets the steamy heat of the Indian plains. It’s a land of yaks and yetis, stupas and Sherpas and some of the best trekking on earth. The Himalaya’s most sophisticated urban cultures took shape here, in the three great minikingdoms of the Kathmandu Valley – Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur – home to a world-class artistic and architectural heritage.
Behind the Vishnu shrine of Ichangu Narayan, northwest of Swayambhunath in the Kathmandu Valley, rises the ‘Abode of Snows’ (Himalaya in Sanskrit), a magnet for trekkers and mountaineers the world over. Only in Nepal can you trek for weeks without the need even for a tent. No longer does your name have to be Tenzing or Hillary to set foot in Everest Base Camp. Out of the mountains, get your adrenaline kick from world-class white-water rafting, kayaking and mountain biking, or from the spine-tingling sight of your first tiger or rhino in Royal Chitwan National Park.

Manifesto of the Movement for a
WORLD GOVERNMENT AND A SINGLE HUMAN SOCIETY
The Movement stands for mobilization of opinion of the entire people all over this World for creation of a strong and effective World Government based upon the Principles of Democracy, Equality and Brotherhood
Under the World Government there will be Autonomous State Governments all over the World to rule on the portfolios which are directly connected with the everyday life of the people. The State Government will have its own Constitution and police force to maintain law and order. Under the State Government there will be the District Administrative Bodies and Local Administrative Bodies. The Autonomous State can be constituted for a sect of people who are traditionally followed by a common culture within a specific territory. The present States in India and the Republics in erstwhile U.S.S.R are the examples for such Autonomous States. The States can be constituted on the basis of a reasonable population and area also. The States in U.S.A and China are examples. The maximum and minimum population for an Autonomous State can be fixed as 50 million and 5million respectively.
The State will have its Legislative Assembly consisting of two Chambers- one constituted by the representatives directly elected by the people on the basis of adult franchise and the other constituted by the representatives elected by the District Administrative bodies and certain number of distinguished personalities nominated by the Governor of the State.
Governor of the Autonomous State will be the constitutional as well as the administrative head of the State. He is to be elected by an electoral college constituted by the total number of elected members of both the Chambers of the Legislative Assembly and the entire District Administrative Councils in the State. He can appoint his ministers from the elected members of both houses. The Governor will preside over the Cabinet meetings and will lead his Government. He and his Government can be removed by a non-confidence motion passed by the Electoral College by which he has been elected as the Governor with a 2/3 majority of the total number of Electoral College.
There will be a World Parliament consisting of two Chambers-one constituted by the representatives directly elected by the people all over the World on the basis of adult franchise and the other constituted by all the Legislative Assemblies of the Autonomous States. The World Parliamentary constituencies shall be constituted all over the World on the basis of population as well as the extent of area. The maximum and minimum population for a World Parliamentary constituency can be fixed as 20 million and 5million respectively and thus minimum one member from an Autonomous State will be elected to the World Parliament. The total number of World Parliamentary constituencies shall be limited up to one thousand. These members of the Lower Chamber of World Parliament are to be elected directly by the people on the basis of adult franchise. There will be an Upper Chamber also for the World Parliament. The total number of members of this Upper Chamber can be limited below 600. Out of this 600, not exceeding 500 should be elected from the States by the elected members of both the houses of State Legislative Assemblies. The remaining members should be nominated by the President of the World Government from among the most eminent personalities all over the World who have proved their extra ordinary skill and knowledge in the fields of Art, Literature, Science, Technology etc.
Constitutional and Executive head of the World Government will be the President. There will be two Vice Presidents also. They may be designated as 1st Vice President and 2nd Vice President. The President and the Vice Presidents are to be directly elected by an electoral college. The entire elected members of both the houses of the World Parliament and of all the Autonomous States all over the World will constitute the Electoral College to elect the President and the Vice Presidents. The values of the votes of each and every member in the Electoral College should be fixed on the basis of their numerical capacity of representation of people.
The President shall appoint a Cabinet with a Secretary General and other Secretaries. The Secretary General shall be chosen from among the elected members of the Lower Chamber and the other secretaries from both the Chambers proportionately. The World Parliament and the Government will act only to shape out the general policies of Agriculture, Industry, Education, Labor, Environment, etc. It will make ultimate legislation and control over certain other specific portfolios like co-ordination and co-operation of the Autonomous State Governments, control over the World Armed Forces, implementation of the decisions of the World Court to solve the disputes between States, control over the Atomic energy and exploitation of the Space and other Planets and general supervision of the administration and developments all over the World. There will be a very strong armed force consisting of Army, Navy and Air force under the direct control of the World President and the World Government to maintain world peace and to control the rebellious activities which may be taken place in any of the part of the World endangering the total unity and welfare of the world people. The States will have no armed forces except necessary police force to maintain law and order within its territory.
Again, for the purpose of effective and practical implementation and evaluation of the decisions taken by the World Parliament and also for the consideration of common interests of the States, Regional Co-ordination Councils can be constituted. The whole World can be divided as 11 Regions and such 11 Regional Co-ordination Councils can be constituted. They may be:
1. North America 2. South America
3. South Africa 4. North Africa
5. Europe 6. West Asia
7. North & East Asia 8. China
9. India 10. South East Asia
11. Australia & Oceania
There will be no elected Parliament or Assembly in the Regions.
The Governors of the States and the members of the World Parliament from the concerned Region will constitute the Regional Co-ordination Councils. There will be no legislative activities in the Council. It assembles only for the purpose of evaluation and co-ordination of the legislation passed in the World Parliament and respective State Legislative Assemblies. In every session of the Regional Co-ordination Council Chair Person and Deputy Chair Persons can be elected from among the Governors of the States according to the rotation only for the purpose of presiding over the session. There will be permanent co- ordinating machinery in the Region for carrying out the recommendations adopted by the Council.
The World Parliament shall meet twice in a year in alternative 3 months. Every session shall continue for 3 months.
The Regional Co-ordination Council shall also meet twice in a year. The length of its session shall be one month.
The State Legislative Assemblies shall meet according to the provisions in the State Constitution.
The entire Nuclear Weapons should be completely defused and destroyed. The conflicts based upon various political philosophies should be dropped. The cardinal and basic principles shall be Democracy, Equality and Brotherhood.
Secularism should be the official policy of the World Government as well as of the State Governments. Ban of polygamy and polyandry and implementation of birth control (without abortion expect medically inevitable) when and where it is necessary shall be the official policy of the World Government and of the State Governments irrespective of religious concepts and belief.
English shall be the official language of the World
Individuals, organizations and Institutions who are really interested to propagate these ideals are requested to contribute their own service under the Movement.
It is better to lit up a candle than to curse the darkness.

South African president Jacob Zuma has dedicated the first World Cup on African soil to Nelson Mandela.There is hope among FIFA and South Africans generally that the 91-year-old – the first democratically-elected president of South Africa when he came to power in 1994 – will be well enough to attend at least part of the opening match of the World Cup between the hosts and Mexico on Friday.President Zuma hailed Mandela’s role in securing the right to host the finals back in May 2004.

Our country has become a stage for the international community to celebrate humanity, achievement and friendship.

You refused to believe the pessimists who said South Africa would not be able to host this tournament.”Zuma also relayed a message sent to him from Mandela, which read: “Today marks yet another significant day in the history of South Africa’s democracy.”We know that as ambassadors of the 208 (member association) countries you represent you will reaffirm our message against racism. About the Concert
The first FIFA World Cup™ on the African continent may be scheduled to kick off on 11 June 2010 but the event begins in earnest the night before with the inaugural FIFA World Cup™ Kick-off Celebration Concert.Billed as the greatest entertainment event to date in Africa, the concert will be staged at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, Johannesburg and feature musical performances by international superstars in collaboration with major African artists, as well as football legends from the past and the present, as well as celebrities from other fields.This three-hour celebratory extravaganza, which will bring together the two universal passions of football and music before a capacity stadium audience of 30,000, will be broadcast to millions more worldwide. It is scheduled to begin at 8.00pm local time (GMT+2) on 10 June.
FIFA has selected Emmy Award-winning producer Kevin Wall and his company Control Room to organise and produce the concert. Control Room has masterminded some of the world’s biggest and most complex events, such as Live Earth 2007, which featured 150 artists performing on seven continents over the course of 24 hours to raise awareness of climate change.”We believe sports and music transcend cultural, language and geographic barriers, and through the official FIFA World Cup Kick–off Celebration Concert, Control Room will present the sights and sounds of unity and celebration for an unforgettable, must-see experience,” said Wall.
All net proceeds from the concert will be donated to “20 Centres for 2010″, the Official Campaign of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™, which aims to build 20 centres across Africa offering education and healthcare services as well as football training to disadvantaged communities.”We are thrilled to have a concert of such magnitude and performing talent raise the curtain on the first FIFA World Cup on African soil,” said FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke. “It is testament to the universal and unifying power of football and music and will start the competition off on the right note – of celebration.”

The Grammy-winning rock band wraps up the London concerts on June 26, then will return to the United States to kick off a round of North American shows on July 9. Rock promoter AEG Live president Rob Hallett said in a statement, “There are very few bands in the world that can sell out this many dates at one venue.”Pop superstar Celine Dion has announced that she’s pregnant with twins. The 42-year-old Canadian singer revealed that she underwent six in-vitro fertilization treatments. Next month, she and her 68-year-old husband, Rene Angelil, will find out the gender of the babies. According to Dion’s website, the twins are due in November. The couple has a nine-year-old son, Rene-Charles.”American Idol” winner Lee DeWyze and runner-up Crystal Bowersox have both finalized their recording deals. DeWyze is signed to 19 Recordings Limited and RCA Records. Bowersox signed with 19 Recordings Limited and Jive Records. Before starting work on their debut albums, DeWyze and Bowersox will join the other Top 10 finalists on the 50-city “American Idols Live” tour, which kicks off on July 1 in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The trek will wrap up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 14.

Democracy as defined by Abraham Lincoln that it is for the people by the people and of the people. This is the literal meaning given by the famous learned scholar. India the land of multilingual linguistic grandiosity has experienced the caliber of holding the crown of largest democracy in the world. India’s constitution almost cover each and every aspect of Indians. Recently India would go on by polls in hot summer season that is in the month of May. So the atmosphere is evenly hot and emotionally charged with Indian politicians and supporters. Since than a decade now the scenario has completely changed and now we have coalitions government in the form of many regional and national parties mingle each other not to let the opportunity go away from their hands. It is the history of India at any times of any general elections starting from Gram Panchayat to Member of Parliament the contestant showers his hypocritical attitude his love, care, affection comes out with flying colours to prove as if he or she is the member of our family or born for the cause of the people. In India every elections are being held after a span of every five years and every five years witnessed change in some or the other way. People in every constitutions are alert enough to scale the work of their representative. Only those people are being elected as their representatives who proves to be boost for peoples grievance or problems. Noways the situation has completely changed especially the way of canvassing and popularity has undergone drastic changes. The politicians cross their limits so they are being questioned by the Election Commissioner for breaking the Model code of conduct. They beg for votes by taking the help of religion. Dev elopement should be the core factor. We have margenilised the development projects and replaced it by those things that prove hinder for the developed society. What ever the party who ever the candidate may be the mandate should be clear and aim at developing and shinning India. Imagine all those 550 members chosen from each constituencies if focus on cause and development of India than a day would come when the dream of our freedom fighters would come true. Already India is suffering from various problems of population, malnutrition, poverty, unemployment, slums, shelter, water and so on. These are the things that can be irradiated completely had it being considered serious by these people. Voting especially by the youths should be must and its they that can bring change in sending qualitative representatives for the parliament. Just by neglecting that what is of use of our votes or what our single vote can do nothing are the symptoms of negative thinking. It is here that by voting you can answer to your problem, only those people that stand in terms of your caliber should be elected as representatives. Politicians on the other hand should keep the same momentum, zeal, service, co-operation throughout their life and not to have temporal behaviour but speak to the people by their work than by emotionally charged speeches. India is so called world’s biggest democracy and accuses his neighboring countries of being extremist but unfortunately India is the hypocrite who pretends to be the country with equal rights to every citizen but what do you think are they giving the equal rights to every citizen ?
The answer is No !!!! absolutely not. India promises in front of the whole world that they are the nation who believes in equality, but they are just hypocrties. Indian government really likes to interfere in other country’s policies but they are not even aware what’s happening in their country.
Shiv Sena, an extremist party which totally believes that Maharashtra, State of India, belongs to them they are the people who thinks that Muslims have no right to live in Mumbai. Shiv Sena is ruled by a person called Bal Thackeray. Who is an eighty four years old person who cannot even talk properly. This person runs a parallel government in maharashtra.
Pakistan is called the land of extremists but India is the land which cannot even control their extremists. Shiv Sena is the party who can make Indian government lick their feet on a single whistle.
Recently Shiv odered that Australian Cricket team won’t be playing in the Indian premier league and lets see what happens. Shiv Sena is accused to kill about thousand Muslims in communal riot on 1993.
But no one in the world really talks about it. Everybody is just crazy about Islamic Terrorists ! Why do they have horns on their head ? If you say Muslims are terrorists than this Bal Thackeray is the many folds bigger terrorists.
They are terrorizing the Muslims over India. The Famous bollywood actress Shabana Azmi wife of legendary lyrist and composer Javed Akhtar. This couple was not permitted to get an apartment in Mumbai just because they were Muslims !!! It is the most discriminated country i have ever seen or heard.
It is not only the case with this couple only Emraan Hashmi another Muslim actor was too not permitted to buy a house in Up-market area of Mumbai. And there is one more most Famous personality it is none other than Shahrukh Khan he was critiized by the Shiv Sena for opposing the decision for not bidding on Pakistani Players. And was seriously opposed by the Shiv Sena by saying that “Shahrukh Khan deserves Nishaan-e-Pakistan”
Why supporting the truth is a crime in the eyes of such lower mentality creatures !!!!
