Robert Thurman :: How to Save the World Interview

Watch the rest of this interview at projectrestoration.com Dr. Robert Thurman speaks on the question of world peace through inner peace. This clip belongs to the How to Save the World interview series, produced by the Transcendent Nation Foundation non-profit, which is exclusively available at projectrestoration.com. The primary aim of the Transcendent Nation Foundation is to promote the possibility of world peace by means of personal realization and holographic action. This is based on the simple idea that when a critical mass in the body of humanity awakens, the whole collective will be awakened.

A growing chorus of politicians, religionists and others believe that only one world government can ensure peace, security and justice for all nations. Yet men’s governments have never worked. So who could establish and administer such a government and keep it from succumbing to corruption? To view more World to Come videos, visit: www.worldtocome.org

  12. AHHH! Finally! Someone with some intelligence! You have the right idea, Mr Mahoney!

  13. I am very curious about what you may consider to be engaged buddhism?
Do you have any idea of what your enlightenment would mean to this world? Would that not be engaging? Or is it that you are just looking for a fight? That would not be very biddhist, would it? I am genuinely curious and not trying to “get your goat”. Please respond.

sitting on sidelines or acting from a place of universal complacency, is not what is required at this moment in human history

we need a form of engaged buddhism :)

  18. this man is so intelligent that all I want to do is sit on youtube and be a sponge that applies his teachings to my life and y surroundings : )

    transcended being. : ) ALoha

  19. the act of truth is being proactive rather than reactive…. :)

  20. a like this lifephilosophy!i agree that *non-violence* is the keything

  21. thanks for posting this interview…..its very interesting.

not sure I can be as pragmatic as Dr.Thurman, and “let go” of the world quite as easily…..maybe I am still too “attached,” eh? ;-)

BUT, I do agree with: “let go, and let the universe ‘decide;’ cuz much is out of our hands.”

  22. My experience is such that I think the real terrorists of the world….the economic terrorists that place so much unnecessary pressure on the majority of the people on this planet, out of their greed and domination issues….need to be usurped by the majority of us. If we simply refuse to participate in their “program” (combined with non-violence) THEN we can change the world.
Sitting on the sidelines while these maniacs destroy all is a little to fatalist for me ;-)

  23. I agree with what he is saying. As Gandhi said ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’ is what is going to ‘save the world’ as it’s put. In truth we aren’t destroying Earth, what we are destroying is our chance as humans to live on the planet. I am happy to be witnessing extraordinary times. Though it often feels like everything is just going crazy and there is talk of The End, there is so much awakening happening simultaneously and people are opening their eyes, minds and hearts to Beauty
