Money Rules the World
Money rules the world
Dalip Singh Wasan, Advocate.
Who created and established the concept of this money, that is an other question. But if we go deep and think over this money concept, we come to the conclusion that money rules the world. Even today, when people have established democracies in their countries, yet the people who are rich are in the government and the people who have got no money with them are still slaves or just subjects or just voters who send these rich people to rule over them. The poor and the slaves still believe that only rich people should be allowed to sit on chairs of power and all the poor people should be satisfied if they are allowed to remain as subjects of the country and obey the orders passed by those who had been sent by the people to seats of power.
The people who are poor are given assurance that they too shall become power, but in spite of all such assurances given to the people, the people could not rise because these rich and powerful people never desired that these poor people should also rise. The people in power always side the rich people and they remain one and they exploit the position and situation of the poor people in the country. They ensure that the people should remain illiterate, unemployed, poor, houseless, must wear on rags, must starve and must suffer poverty because of rising prices and they should remain concentrating just on the subject of two time meals and nothing more. They know that they are ruling only because the people are poor and ignorant and if they are also having money and then they shall become wise and then they shall not allow these few people to rule over them. That is the reason, the main interest in the mind of the ruling classes is to keep the people poor and deprived of all the facilities of life and they are successful in all he countries.
It is very strange that in each democracy the governments are established with the votes of common people and when they are installed on seats of power, these people start working for the rich and not for the poor and they know that these rich people had not exercised right of vote in elections. The people in power have converted this election system so costly that only rich could participate in this process and the poor should remain just a voter. They are one class and they have divided themselves in political parties with different names and they play friendly matches. In one election one party wins and next time the other party can win and both are happy and when they are in the houses, they play friendly matches and the people are merely spectators and enjoy the matches. All the news papers and other sources of media start publishing and showing these matches to the people and in this way these agencies also join with the people playing friendly matches and keep the people busy for at least five years. Then these people are invited to elect the same personalities once again and give them time to play friendly matches.
The people in power keep the people busy for five years or more as the case may be. They could be playing friendly matches at international level or at national level. In the whole tenure the people are reading and seeing adverse comments on each other and the whole media remains busy reporting the same and they never talk about the common man who remains suffering in these tenures. If we have an eye on India, we shall find that none of the problems of the people of India could be solved during the past six decades and the people who are on seats of power had been growing rich and more rich and now these people are the richest class here in India and it is on record that people have been kept illiterate, unemployed, poor, without proper accommodation, are wearing rags, are beggars, are ill and are not in a position get proper treatment, they are not having any social security when they are ill or are old, they are to pay bribe and the people in power are committing scams, scandals, muddles, taking commissions, are selling jobs, quotas, licences and the like and all these burdens are on the shoulder of the people. Even the people experts in economic matters could not solve the problems of the people rather they are planning in such a manner that the poor are being reduced to more poverty.
So money shall remain ruling in all the democracies in the world and till this money concept is having more power, we shall have to accept the real meanings of the following lines,
‘ Persoo, Parsa and Pars Ram, Iss Maya Ke Teen Naam’
The poor people shall remain king makers, but they would never rise to the position of ‘Pars Ram’.

Democracy is not Correctly Defined
Democracy not correctly defined
We must accept that democracy has not been correctly defined. It is not government of the people. As set of people have taken up politics as a profession, trade, calling and employment and they are the rulers. Therefore, as and when a government is formed after election, that government is not of the people because these ruling people are not from amongst the people. They are the nominees of the political parties and only political parties know on what consideration these people have been selected and nominated for election. It is not a government by the people and that is the reason the people in the government are not working for the people. The people are simply voters who are called once in a five years aor so and they are directed to cast votes in favour of the candidates who have been allowed to stand as candidates. When these people cast their vote, their work is finished and they are pushed back to suffer for an other term of five years or so. The people who form government never work for the welfare of the people of the country nor they are committed as such. That is the reason in most of the democracies in the world the people in power are not working as public servants and they never allow the people to turn as masters of the country. Democracy is just a name and therefore, the ruler’s work with a rod in their hand and they utilize all power through police, courts and through jails. The people get only those rights which these rulers give them and nothing more. The word of democracy, fundamental rights, masters and public servants are just in books and those are never brought into practice. Therefore, we shall have admit that democracy which is present in all the countries could be called or defined as a government of a few, by a few and for a few and therefore, the common people should try to live like slaves as they had been under rajas, maharajas or under the imperialists. They shall have to wait for true democracy for another century.
Please do send me comments on this new definition of democracy.
in Democracy Participation of People is Nil
In democracies participation of people is nil.
Dalip Singh Wasan, Advocate.
It has been said that democracy is the best form of Government because it is government of the people, by the people and for the people and all rajas, maharajas, monarchs and imperialists are no more to govern them. But we shall have to accept that this concept of democracy has not be adopted fully in any of the countries claiming that they have established democracy in their country. If we go deep, we can find that all in politics are those who want to become rajas, maharajas, monarchs and the imperialists and they want to rule the people through one way or the other. All entries in the constitutions are paper transactions and the people in power could not change their habits and spirit. They do not want to become public servants and serve the people. They want to rule and till they are on chairs, they treat the people as subjects or as slaves and every citizen is not allowed to approach to them.
The people in each country are just voters and they are invited at the prescribed time to come, stand in lines before the poling booths and then caste their votes in favour of one of the candidate who is not known to them, whose character and antecedents are not known to the voter and who has got no approach upto that fellow. Therefore, this casting of votes is just a formality and when these people are elected and sit on seats of power, they could no turn people of the people. They were a separate class, they are a separate class and they shall remain a separate class. They have taken up this line as a profession, trade, calling and employment and therefore, they are investing money only to gain profits and get power. That is the reason they are taking all the eligible members of their families in this field and all these political parties are just co-operative societies where some people collect and distribute positions amongst themselves and they start inviting others to join this party as members and in most of the cases, they take money as admission fee and even portfolios are divided through auction and sale. We should not expect that such people shall follow some code of conduct.
The people always remain subjects or slaves and they cannot call themselves that they too have become masters of the country. Such entries are available in each constitution in the world, but it is strange that the people could not get such a position in any of the democracies in the world. The rulers are still functioning with the same spirit in their mind which was functioning in the hearts of rajas, maharajas, monarchs and the imperialists. They could not come from this spirit to rule and therefore, till this spirit is available in the ruling classes, no country shall become full fledged democracy.

What Happened To Our Democracy?
Dwight Eisenhower warned against the United States becoming predominately dependent on military power as a means for its security. The biggest change in American democratic history came about as a result of World War II and the introduction of the nuclear bomb. From the mid 40′s to the early 50′s two different directions became available for our government to choose from.
One direction was for our government to embrace the principles of the newly formed United Nations, which was originally handed all the tools necessary to civilize this world through a system of International Law and Order based on the establishment of an International Bill of Human Rights.
After the devastation of World War II the world came to realize future wars using nuclear weapons could destroy this world and a new system for providing a more peaceful and civilized existence in this world was needed, thus the United Nations was formed.
The other direction governments could take was to pursue military expansionism with nuclear weapons to ensure their defense.
Once one single country pursued this path others were forced to follow and the overall purpose of the United Nations was nullified.
Today the American people have become oppressed slaves to their military power and have been forced to give up their democratic rights and freedoms for their security.
Ben Franklin stated, once you give up your liberty and democratic rights for your security, you deserve neither. The cost the American people have had to pay for their military power is being a constant target always having to defend itself from those who wish not to be militarily dominated by the U.S. government.
The American people and their democracy has been oppressed and dominated by fear as a result of their military power and expansionism.
The United States government is now the most barbaric, brutal, and uncivilized country in the world and has been responsible for more deaths (approximately seven million people killed) then any other country since the mid 1950′s.
The strange thing is the American people act shocked when someone attacks their country (911, the USS Cole, etc) and can’t understand why.
We have been conditioned to believe a strong military is the best way to defend our country, but when that military power jeopardizes our security and safety because our leaders are abusing it for purposes other then to defend our country, we should not be surprised.
Being civilized and living in Peace is the sacrifice we have made for military power.
They say when you live by the sword you die by the sword and we now live totally by the sword.
There was a time when it was patriotic to defend our country and democratic way of life, which was back when our democracy was one that was by the people, for the people, and of the people.
Today, our government is corporate controlled, which means we have sacrificed our democratic rights, freedoms, security, and safety to defend a government, which is by the corporations, for the corporations, and of the corporations.
This was not part of the original deal when our democracy was formed. Nowhere in our Constitution, Declaration of Independence, or Bill of Rights does it mention the American people must yield their democracy to the corporate powers.
The reason our democracy was formed was to be self- governing and get away from totalitarian rule. The first paragraph of the Declaration of Independence states clearly the obligation to preserve our democracy rest squarely with the American people, yet the American people are so oblivious to their democratic responsibilities they have allowed their democracy to fail. A democracy is only as strong as the people who participate in it.
Thomas Jefferson stated; this democracy would only last about two hundred and fifty years before the people must decide to rebuild it or let it revert back to totalitarian rule. We have been at it for two hundred and thirty four years now, with sixteen years left to decide.
If the American people are satisfied with being oppressed by fear as a result of our their military power, which is controlled by a corporate run government then they should do nothing, but they should understand it was they who failed their democracy and they have no one to blame but themselves.
